The booking terms are the contract between you and Tangible Tours. They set out how a reservation becomes a confirmed booking, the minimum of two riders needed for a departure to run, your responsibility for negligent damage to or loss of a supplied e-bike or camping kit, and the guide’s authority to change or end a ride for safety. Nothing in them removes your legal rights or our liability for death or injury caused by our negligence.

We collect only what is needed to run your tour safely: your contact details, emergency contact, health answers and any dietary needs. Health information is treated as sensitive and seen only by the guide leading your ride and the owner. We never sell it or use it for advertising. You can see, correct, export or delete your information at any time.

Cancel 30 or more days ahead and you are refunded in full, less any non-refundable third-party costs. Between 15 and 29 days, half is refunded. Within 14 days no refund is due, though we will try to transfer you to another date. We ride in most British weather, but if conditions make the downs genuinely unsafe we will re-route, shorten or move the departure and tell you as early as we can.

Cancellation & weather policy

These are e-bikes, so the motor carries much of the effort — but you still need to balance, brake and steer confidently on chalk tracks, byways and grassy ridges, and to be comfortable riding for several hours with breaks. Everyone must be at least 14 on the day of the tour; riders aged 14 or 15 must be accompanied by a riding parent or guardian who takes responsibility for them.

We need to know about heart, breathing, neurological or mobility conditions, diabetes, severe allergies, pregnancy, recent injuries and any medication you carry — not to exclude you, but so the guide can plan and respond if something happens far from a road. You will complete the full rider safety form before the tour; a short note here is enough for now. Withholding something relevant may mean you cannot ride.

Much of the route is away from roads and mobile signal can be patchy, so we carry one contactable person for every rider. Please make sure they know they have been named and will be reachable on the day. If you are hurt, we may pass essential health details to the ambulance service or to your contact.
